In line with the transparency principles of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (AI Act), in particular Art. 50, and of Italian Law No. 132 of 23 September 2025, the following explains how artificial intelligence is used on this website.
Some texts on this website, the English and German translations and parts of the website code were drafted, translated or revised with the support of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT (OpenAI), Gemini (Google) and Claude (Anthropic).
These tools work on public material only: the texts and code of the website. Personal data of customers or visitors is never entered into them.
Every text produced with AI support has been read, edited and approved by Botanicum before publication. Opening hours, address and product information are checked by us.
The photos published on this website, including those of the shop, the products and the owners, were generated with artificial intelligence. They are not photographs taken on site: they give an idea of the spaces and the atmosphere of Botanicum. Colours and crops were then harmonised with digital tools.
The website does not use chatbots or other AI systems that interact with visitors, and no visitor data is processed by AI systems through the website.
Why this section exists
For AI-generated images that show real people, places or objects, Art. 50(4) of the AI Act requires a disclosure: this section also serves that purpose. For text reviewed by a person who holds editorial responsibility a disclosure would not be required, but we publish it anyway, so that readers know how the content is made.
